Lollipop Craft Shoppe...

Well... I have broadened my horizons and attempted something outside my comfort level...
I had a blast!
I spent the weekend alone and while I was home I pulled out the sewing machine!
... Not a new sewing machine as I had been thinking about as I had no idea how expensive they were... no this sewing machine belonged to my Great Grandma...
After I figured out how to thread it and then realized I had to unthread it to make a bobbin and then thread it again...
I finally started sewing! Mind you, I am not great at cutting, writing, or sewing in a straight line!
I wanted to post something new at the Lollipop Craft Shoppe besides bows only...
So I gave a shot at pillowcase dresses for little girls that have matching flip flops and bows!
I thought I should include some pictures here for you all to see!
Well... I didn't do too bad... could of used a trick on the Armpit, but I managed without... I still have a little hemming to do since they are so big on my Stinker... but I would be glad to make them for any orders!
Happy Crafting Out There!

9 years and more...

There are days in marriage that sometimes we wonder what we were thinking... I have found a song that I swear fits it perfectly! It is called Dancing in the Minefields... I just love to listen and know that there are times you feel like you are swaying in the storms... but all in all... there are several days that it is all so clear why we said "I DO!"

Usually we alternate years... I have the odd years and Shawn has the even years... This year I was too overwhelmed and couldn't put anything together... Shawn said he would be glad to take over... Thank you for being there and picking up my pieces Bug!

Anyone who knows me... knows that I have been the farthest from tradition for most things and for most of my life! I don't have an explanation for why... but I just enjoy being more creative about things. There is one thing that I have truly enjoyed being traditional about and that is Wedding Anniversary gifts! Shawn and I have stuck to the traditional wedding gifts since paper on year 1!
This year as year 9 came around and we were to plan around pottery... Shawn definitely took the cake on the ideas! We have been able to do anything extravagant and this year was no exception!

Shawn took us to paint pottery... We painted a cup and saucer because there was no salt and pepper shakers! We had such a good time painting! I painted the cup and Shawn painted the saucer.

As soon as our masterpieces were done... we went and shared a nice dinner at The Cheesecake Factory... He knows I love the Factory chopped salad and can't afford too many calories! I took his picture there and the flash was so bright since it is a dark place... here is how that turned out!

So for 9 years we have danced through life together and had ups and downs... But here is to year 10! I can't wait to see what is planned for that!

I hope everyone has a great year too! Take care and love lots!

Unforgettable Moments...

It is moments like these that I can't believe where I am in my world! I don't know how I thought that my children wouldn't grow... but they are... I try to jot down the funny things, or the things I think I want to remember forever... This is one of those moments!

Today at lunch Tye took a bit of his sandwich and came running over with a mouthful of food wide open and trying to talk to me... Mommy, my tooth is out... Let me see... No... Looks like there is still a tooth there... although I could tell it was on it's way out... Mommy pull it out.... Tye you need to finish the food in your mouth and then I will help you... Mommy I need a napkin cause it is going to bleed...
Got paper towel so he was ready. Told him to take another bite of sandwich, there is no point in pulling it yet...
Tries a bite but you could tell he was too scared to take a "real" bite... Mommy can you get it out... play with it a little more and then I will try...
I grab it with a towel and pull... Mommy hurry it is bleeding... you popped my tooth out!

After all the celebration, I ask Tye... Who in the world said you could get so big? I surely don't think we are supposed to be this old yet... He says...Mommy, Jesus told me last night I needed to get stronger...

As a good friend of ours says... And who would we be to argue with Jesus!

This is Tye's second tooth and now he is ready to get the top ones out! Tye we love who you are becoming and we have loved watching you get there so far!

Our Neighbor Friend!

We are so excited to finally have kids in the neighborhood to play with! Then to top it all off it is actually a little girl that Ade can play with! We have really enjoyed getting to know them and the girls have had so much fun playing together! Here the girls are in the Gator... driving like they are moms and have their baby in the car seat in the back! They are so funny... Shawn was teasing Ade that she had to get the baby in a car seat or he was going to call the police... That was not fun as she thought he was serious and came running over crying... Got through that one and the girls went off as happy as could be!

What to do When Waiting for Dinner?

We are sitting at dinner waiting for Mommy's last meal before her diet starts...
When you look around the restaraunt there are kids that have their video games...
Some that have toys...
Some are coloring on the provided menus and papers...
All of that seems fun and We were coloring...
Then they brought us a plate a of dough for the kids to play with! Tye and I took turns adding parts to a Robot... or Alien... He couldnt' decide which he liked better! so here is as far as we got before our meal came!

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall... Who's the fairest of them all?

Of course my dear the answer is clear... It is Snow White. She is the fairest of them all... Wait a minute... that is not the Snow White that I remember!

I am not opposed to the little ones being whomever they want! AdeLynne and Kelsey were playing dress up and he wanted to badly to be part of the fun that the kids were having!

So... There you have it! Boston as Snow White!

New Adventure...

Well... I am testing a new adventure! I was going to open an Etsy shop... then I decided to test things out before they could cost me... So instead I have posted a page on Facebook for

"The Lollipop Craft Shoppe"

Currently there are only bows there... but as my spare time permits me to run to my happy place to create there will be other items there! We will see how it goes... If you get a chance and are FaceBook you should stop in and check it out!
